The Importance of Early-Stage Investment
As founders and chief executive directors of the Business Accelerator UKIM, we continuously strive to support the most promising technology entrepreneurs, startups, spin-offs, and fast-growing companies through early-stage investments and tailored mentoring for product and technology development. We believe that we have a huge innovation potential in our country, with bright scientific minds, but many ideas remain only in the idea stage.
To innovators and young startups, they need a safe place for trial and error, where they will be pushed out of their comfort zone to learn from their peers and mentors and validate the real need for their product or service. This is where UKIM Accelerator plays a major role in the startup ecosystem, providing access to knowledge and finance for the development of innovative products or services.
That's why we decided to be part of the early-stage investors of the Guinness World Record, as it was an extraordinary opportunity to meet highly motivated teams who presented innovative and alternative solutions to various business and social problems. Over thirty continuous hours, over 200 participants presented their 60 ideas, bringing the startup community closer together and showing us that we are talking about business to a large extent.
This encouraged us to pay special attention to innovators whose ideas are in the early stage of development, all in order to give them the necessary support. Continuous sharing of success stories and showing entrepreneurs as role models is needed to affect a change in consciousness.
Together, as supporters of the startup community in Macedonia, we hope to inspire and enable more innovation and growth, unlocking the potential of our country's brightest minds and creating a better future for all.
